Engagement Models
Votiva uses a variety of engagement models to meets the individual needs of each of our customers:
1. Time and Expenses. Pay according to actual man-hours used and actual expenses incurred, if any. The scope of the project is usually adjusted along the way.
2. Fixed Cost. If you can define the solution in detail up front we can quote a fixed price for your project. The requirements specification must remain frozen throughout the project if you choose this model.
3. Support Package. Buy a number of man-hours up front in order to allow us to handle small ad hoc tasks without the hassles and delays caused by many small invoices and payments.
4. Dedicated Resources. Achieve the best results and get the best prices by entering into a long term agreement for resources that are dedicated to work exclusively on your projects.
You can choose any combination of the engagement models for different phases of your project.

Time and Expenses
In a time and expenses project, you pay for the actual man-hours you use and cover any extra expenses associated with the project – e.g. travel expenses.
The required effort is estimated before project start and actual time spent is tracked against the estimate throughout the project. The scope of the project can be adjusted along the way in order to stay on budget and time.
If you choose this model a percentage of the total project cost must be paid in advance, and you will be billed for actual consumption at regular intervals throughout the project.

Fixed Cost
In fixed cost projects, the risk for budget overruns lies with Votiva rather than the customer.
While this model has obvious advantages for you, the downside is that a very detailed requirements specification must be written before the project can start. Due to the nature of the engagement model, the specification must remain frozen throughout the project.
This model is therefore only suitable for customers who know exactly what they want and are able to define these requirements clearly in written form.
If you choose this model payments are made as milestones in the project are reached.

Support Package
Customers that rely on us for ongoing support and maintenance typically buy a support package consisting of a number of prepaid man-hours.
The man-hours are credited to your account when you buy the package and debited as work is carried out for you.
Because you do not have to deal with invoices, payments or contracts every time you need to have something done, this model is a good choice if you have many small ad hoc tasks.

Dedicated Resources
Votiva can also provide you with dedicated team leads, developers, and testers that work exclusively with you.
Dedicated resources are available on long term contracts and you pay a fixed monthly fee for their services. For select maintenance and support services we can also provide part time resources – e.g. 20 hours per week.
Dedicated resources are typically recruited to meet your exact requirements and training programs can be arranged if specialized skills are needed.
Since the cost per man hour is significantly lower when you use dedicated resources, this model is often a viable alternative to other engagement models for midsized and large projects.
